JOOI, which stands for Junior Optimist Octagon International, is part of a larger organization called Optimist International. With more than 15,000 members in more than 500 communities, Junior Optimist International members are constantly working to promote positive change in their communities. There are JOOI clubs all around the world and the clubs meet together at an annual convention, which will be in New Mexico this year! JOOI members are involved in numerous community outreach programs, including programs to help kids read and programs to raise money for those in need. ​
